Folder remains after delete, and Until site change in WE

    Hi ,

When I delete a folder in WE , it continues to be displayed until I move to another folder-- The same holds true for a MOVE or COPY.

This just happened recently as I have been working with folders for years .

This is very time consuming and your help would really be appreciated.

My computer is w7-64 6g memory-- Thanks, Ralph

    Hi Neorican,

Click start>run and type in cmd.

In the black command prompt type 'sfc /scannow' - It will check your system files for tampering.

Run a virus scan as well just in case.

This is a known issue in Win 7 that is yet to be addressed.

    HI Dave and Fig 7,

Thank You for your replies---- I may have not made the problem clear , but I have found the solution-- I Right click on the folder and move the cursor to OPEN FOLDER LOCATION -- then delete or move or copy works perfectly. This applies to all the sub folders that apply to the folder.

Did I make this clear-- I do have a feeling that I did not express myself clearly.

    Thanks again---- Ralph

No, the issue was clear. The folder's contents don't refresh after a move/copy, which is a known issue in Win 7. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. It appears you've found a method where it does the refresh so I would stick with that.
