We can beat this until it is dead. do you have a backup you can restore from? you can run sfc /scannow to check the system files. If that doesnt work, try a repair install and failing that there is always a clean re-install.

Yes I do have a backup zigzag, and it maybe a problem during installation. However, I have the installation medium but I don't think that the problem is caused by me or any programs I have installed. I have not manipulated the system files except adding the Magnification.dll from earlier post which was also missing.

These are the programs I have installed so far:

    Divx Player
    avg 8.5
    morro (microsoft security essentials)
    quicktime player
    and messengers

I am 100% certain that non of these programs could be the cause.

I have never installed any driver, windows did it 4 me.

Oh and few updates from microsoft.

    that's it.

so this leaves us with the windows setup, which could be the source of the problem.

Again, I would highly appreciate it if someone could upload this file 4 me.

    Hello All

For those of you who are experiencing the same problem, there is an easy fix. Just download the werconcpl.dll file from here:

    werconcpl.dll free download - DLL-files.com

Place the unzipped file into your Windows/System 32 folder. Then restart your computer. I would also strongly suggest you scan your computer with a Antivirus and antispyware program. I think I got this error due to the fact that I changed my theme. There could have been an infection in the theme file I downloaded. Hope this helps.
