Windows 7: Wordpad Printing Problems

I'm having problems with printing out text on Wordpad. The text has horizontal blanc lines running through it. Some words are half complete, others a quarter, and some are printed out in full. If I insert a picture it prints it out perfectly. I've also printed out text from the internet and it works fine. So it can't be the printer that's at fault.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
