Windows 7: Opening previous snt file with Sticky Notes Displays Nothing

So suddenly, I was shocked that the content of my Sticky Notes suddenly disappeared. Fortunately, I retrieved the snt file holding all the contents of the Sticky Notes. I open the file with Sticky Notes and it displays an empty sticky note. What should I do? I'm sure that the snt file contains information because I opened it with Notepad and it has the information that was in the sticky note but in notepad, the content is a bit gibberish.
Please help me. Thanks!
