Recovery D: is still the same, with 1.46GB free of 13.0 GB. Some of you mentioned that if it did not change after some time, then it's probably okay. The system restore is also OFF for Recovery D:

I am not yet that confident to do cleaning the bloatware nor system image recovery on my own. I do not fully understand those, and I might just do something stupid and cause more problems (despite the steps provided in the links). I will just make the recovery disks first, then later on get a friend who could help me perform those steps.

That is the best thing to do, Ann. You can request the same friend to make the Recovery Disks for you. It is best to leave working things alone when you are not sure of what and how to do.

HP will only allow one set of recovery disk to be made, looking at your screen shot, I do believe they were made
on 4-24-2012 at 1:06pm as per HPSF_Rep.txt file. The local store sometimes make them for you, if so you should
have a set of disk or a flash drive. Good luck.

Probably best for now to follow wanchoo's advice.

Keep an eye on that disk space for the time being. If you see an increase in size you know something's not quite right.

And make those recovery disks, too. It's better to get that done now, rather than finding out later that it's too late (for whatever reason).

So the recovery disks were already made? I did not receive any from the store...

The trouble is that MyDigitalLife does not have ISO images of your version of Windows 7, Ann. And I know not where to download it from. Otherwise I would have advised you to download the ISO image and burn it on a DVD.

That way you could even forget making the Recovery Disks.

Here's how to make another set of HP Recovery disks: HP Recov DIsks - make another set

To download Starter or Basic versions installer ISO, instead download Home Premium, then run the eicfg removal tool on the ISO to unlock all versions before burning to DVD. You'll then get a menu to choose your licensed version.

What are your concerns about Cleaning Up Factory Bloatware , Ann? I'm able to help walk you through this. Most important is to establish a Clean Boot. Can you type msconfig in Start Search box, maximize the window, then take a screenshot of both the Startup tab and Services tab after Hiding All MS Services. Most likely it will be evident which is your AV and any gadgets as those are the only ones which need to be left checked.
