Strange Problem with my New Laptop

    Hello All

I purchased a new Asus N55SL notebook about a month ago.I am facing this weird problem since about 2 weeks ago.

I am running windows 7 64 bit.The problem appears some time after being logged in whenever i am using any program for eg. Firefox browser after sometime I am not able to type anything using the keyboard.Any link clicked gets opened in a new tab even my gmail inbox. And when i exit it and try to right click refresh the desktop the shortcut icon remains selected and opens a new window as if I am right clicking on it (You can see in the screenshot) when i am not I am just clicking on a empty space on the desktop. And to add to this problem other icons start getting selected when you click on it .So have you have whole bunch of selected icons. The problem goes away after a restart but appears again after a period of usage So i don't think a restart everytime is a solution to this.

The problem is not limited to any browser or program.Initially when I was using google chrome the problem appeared for the 1st time I felt maybe it was a chrome bug.But I have been facing the even after changing from chrome to firefox to opera nothing has helped.I have checked My startup programs nothing unnecessary is running and there is no virus or malware in my notebbok I have the latest updated Eset Nod 32 Antivirus. So I am pretty sure this a Windows Or Hardware bug which is giving me troubles.

The problem does not have a fixed time.It occurs randomly sometimes immediately after logging in.Sometimes randomly times 4-5 times in a day.Sometimes once in 2 days.

Things which i noticed when the problem occurs:

1)I don't hear that ting sound of windows shutting down which i normally do when i restart.I am able to hear after restarting.

    2) The performance tab graph under the task manager is kinda stuck doesnt show any movement of cpu usage history and ram which it normally does.

Temporary solutions that I am using:

    1) A restart everytime when the problem occurs.

    2) Pressing Ctrl + shift + enter keys located on right side.Discovered it by chance when trying to solve my problem. It temporarily fixes the problem but the problem occurs after a period of usage.Sometimes doesn't occur

So All experts here please help me out.Whether it is a keyboard or any other hardware component that is faulty or it is a Windows 64 bit bug ??

Sorry for a long description but I had to describe my problem in detail so that You people could help me out properly.

    Thanks :)

Your notebook should still be under warranty. Give their technical service a call and see if they have a solution.

Since it's the OEM factory install see if the problem is relieved when you Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

Most tech enthusiasts will Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get a much leaner better performing OS without the bloatware and useless factory utitilies which have much better versions built into Win7.
