Windows 7: How do I hide/remove this strange toolbar drag tab?

Windows recently updated itself and when it restarted I found this on my taskbar:

There is another one next to my iTunes toolbar. I believe this is some kind of tab used to move toolbars around but it does nothing if I click and drag.

Now its obvious that this isn't an urgent problem but I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to hide or remove it since its only taking up space.
