Windows 7: cannot see files inside the folder

cannot see files inside the folder

soryy my english bad :
i have install fresh Windows 7 , and for sure old files go to windows .old folder
but when i go to this folder , i see only the forlders and cannot see the files !!!




tips : i have 2 windows
one old on an old hard disk
the other on a hard disk
one of them slave mean its win not working now ,

Hello Dawa,

What happens when you double click on the Windows.old and Windows.old.000 folders to open them?

Are you clicking on them with the correct left/right mouse or touchpad button?

when i duble click on the folder named Windows.old.000 i only go inside it and see allot folders ( old win) but never find any file , only folders with nothing inside them !

exmple :
G:\Windows.old.000\Windows
when i go there i see allot folders only folders , nothing inside them , no fils
0 Files, 10,964 Folders

I agree with Koolkat above. If there's nothing in them that you do not need, then you can safely delete them to regain any HDD space that they are using. These folders are only copies of files/folders from a previous installation when you have done either a upgrade or repair install.

There doesn't appear to be anything in them other than empty folders.

As a test, you could use step 4 in OPTION ONE of the tutorial below to have your hidden files show to see if the files may have been hidden in them before. If they are still empty afterwards, then you could step 5 to not have the hidden files show.
