| | .NET runtime optimization service I have a Critical Event in Applications. The faulting application is mscorsvw.exe. During a search of my computer I found a duplicate of the file in in the same path, the only difference was the size. Upon trying to open each of the two files, I discovered that neither would open and both are application files. Looking at Properties I discovered the the files are the .NET Runtime Optimization service. Upon looking in Services, I discovered that .NET Runtime Optimization is not mentioned.. My question is: how to fix the application error? All assistance will be appreciated. Duchess |

| | Windows Update released some .NET updates just the other day. Have they been applied yet? If not force an update by going to Control Panel / Windows Update / Check for updates. |

| | There were four updates for .NET and I installed them all. Do you think that will fix the problem and answer my question? |
