    Restoring Pinned Items

    Hello,

I screwed up again. I use windows 7 Home Premium 64bit for a month now and I made the same mistake I did when I first got it. I deleted my pinned items by accident. A month ago, I got the default items back, by closing explorer.exe and then restarting something. But I can't find out where I found that solution.

I know there are other solutions, but they don't work for me.

Does anybody know what I mean and how I can bring them back?

    Greetings,
    Ferry

    Ferry
Go to the start button and then all programs
Right click on the ones that you want to pin. That is the best way.

Yes I understand that, but it won't give me back my Show Desktop icon and Libraries icon.

To show desktop, just left click on the lower right near the clock. As far right as you can go.

Yes I know, but I want that back to my pinned items. I found it very handy there. I know I got it back like that a while back, but I can't remember how!

Hello Ferry, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You could use the tutorial below to create a "Show Desktop" shortcut that you could pin to your taskbar, then delete the shortcut afterwards.
You could use the tutorial below to pin Libraries (a folder) to the taskbar.
In addition, you could use the tutorial below to be able to backup and restore your pinned items on the taskbar.
    Hope this helps, :)

Thanks, it was not the solution I had last time, but at least everything is back! Thanks!

You're most welcome. I'm glad that we could help. :)

Did you have them in Quick Launch instead?

I have them in the left corner, from where the start menu is.

If it looked like this in the screenshots below, then that may have been Quick Launch.
