rasman.dll failure, don't know if i restored it good

    Hi,

Today, after i installed some updates, i got an error message.

(translated from dutch to my best english(not very good :S))
"The program failed to run because rasman.dll is missing. Maybe reinstalling this program fixes the issue?"

I googled it and rasman.dll is in C:/Windows/System32/
Because of the updates my computer made a little backup. I restored the file with previous versions in properties(properties-->previous versions-->open-->copy/paste rasman.dll). No message, BSOD, etc appeared, nothing happened.

My question now is: did i do this the right way or will this destroy my OS and/or computer? Because the 2th time i got this message was when i restarted my computer after the updates.

    System specs:
OS: Windows 7 home premium x64
Computer: Compaq Presario CQ71 410ED (laptop)
    RAM: 3GB
    Age: 1 year 11 months
Windows was already on my laptop when i bought it.

If i have to run something and/or send files tell it me.

    Thanks for help

You may have a virus infection.

Try a scan with the free version of Malwarebytes, which you can download here: Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer

If you still get problems after the virus scan you might want to consider a Repair Install.

    Repair Install

That said, if you're not experiencing any further problems, using the previous version may have fixed things.

I scanned my computer with AVG, but that only gave me cookies(i copy/pasted from scan results):

    "";"C:\Users\Brent
Maas\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\JNX0C4WN.txt:\serving-sys.com.a222cbcd";"Gevonden Tracking cookie.Serving-sys";"Verplaatst naar de quarantaine"
    "";"C:\Users\Brent Maas\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\JNX0C4WN.txt:\serving-sys.com.db46cecc";"Gevonden Tracking cookie.Serving-sys";"Verplaatst naar de quarantaine"
    "";"C:\Users\Brent Maas\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\JNX0C4WN.txt:\serving-sys.com.841298c4";"Gevonden Tracking cookie.Serving-sys";"Verplaatst naar de quarantaine"

    "";"C:\Users\Brent Maas\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\JNX0C4WN.txt";"Gevonden Tracking cookie.Serving-sys";"Hersteld"
    "";"C:\Users\Brent Maas\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\JNX0C4WN.txt:\serving-sys.com.bb39fa8c";"Gevonden Tracking cookie.Serving-sys";"Verplaatst naar de quarantaine"
    "";"C:\Users\Brent Maas\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\7GSUN083.txt";"Gevonden Tracking cookie.Atdmt";"Hersteld"

There are some dutch words in it and i tried to translate them:
'Verplaatst naar quarantaine' means 'moved to quarantine'.
    'Hersteld' means 'recovered'.
    'Gevonden' means 'found'.

I'm going to look at the repair install now.
