It's an itty bitty configuration file on your SD card. Why do you even bother dealing with it. But if you really want to get rid of it, reformat the SD card. It may go away - or not.

Thank you reflexion213, I have been having this annoying issue as of late, the solutions posted by Sir George failed, but your solution worked a dream for me.

I registered just to say thank you

Can someone help me?
Have you tried deleting the file in Safe Mode? Also, try taking ownership of the folder: Take Ownership of file - Vista Forums
Unlocker helped me... thanks for giving a suggestion.

Genius! Never would have thought to try this. I tried almost all the unsuccessful methods you list, got very annoyed, found your post... bingo!

FWIW, the offending folders were created by a user on my secure FTP server. He created a folder, didn't see it, created it again, then couldn't delete the original... or the second. Then files within were getting shifted around as I renamed and attempted to delete. In the end, I had two folders listed in Explorer (but no longer in FileZilla) that Windows said were not in that location. 7zip FTW!

Cheers

Just a thank you

I managed, using Robocopy, to create 'Archive' and 'archive' in the same folder, then couldn't delete them both. Reflexion123's solution worked so I just wanted to say thank you. A solution which shouldn't work for a problem you shouldn't be able to create, appropriate really.
