    Hi Everyone im new here,
I bought this last week: Acer Aspire 5755G, i used to run an Eee pc netbook with awful specs so im not very up to date on decent laptops, lol.
Anyway......I started to watch a movie but it was very pixilated so i was looking through the settings and here's what i did...control panel....Appearance and Personalisation.....Display.........Screen resolution and then Advanced Settings.
It opens up the Intel Graphics Family Properties, i selected monitor and changed the Colours from 64bit to True colour 32bit, i've since gone back to change to 64bit again but the option is no longer there, i can either keep it on True colour (32bit) or High colour (16bit).

Where has 64bit gone and why can't i change it again? There's no way i've messed with anything i shouldn't have so surely this is something simple?, i've tried looking through the forums here but can't find anything so any help would be hugely appreciated, thanks.

Here's a link which shows how i did it: Color Bit Depth - Display Settings But as i say my problem is i no longer have the option to select 64bit.

    +1 from me.

32-bit is the highest you'll get. Are you sure you weren't confusing what you thought was 64-bit as 16-bit?

To go back to whatever it was you had, you can always perform a system restore to a restore point before you made the change.

32 bit true color is the highest I have ever seen.

Have you installed both the 32 and 64 bit versions of JAVA.

You should install both if you have Windows 7 x64.

The 32 bit version of Internet Explorer (the default) needs it.
