    Set and keep folder options

    Hi

I want to choose the details shown in all the folders on my PC, I want them all the same and I want them not to change when I reopen the folder.

Is this possible in W7x64 and if so how do I do it?

When I go to View/Choose Details and select items it only works that time, when I reopen the folder at a late date I get a different set of details and since I want to see the same details in all folders it should not be difficult but so far I have not been able to do it.

    Cheers

    Hello Daniel,

The tutorial below can help show you how to. For "Details" view, you would use General Items in step 1. :)

Folder View - Set a Default for All Folders

    Hope this helps,

Once you've got the column layout like you want, go to Tools > Folder options, select the View tab, select the Apply to Folders button, then OK.

You may have to press the Alt key to get the menu bar to appear at the top.
