Freezing on a Macbook?

Has anyone tried installing Windows 7 on a Macbook? I've installed Windows 7 on my first gen Macbook (Core Duo 2 GHz, 1 gig of RAM), and it works fine, when it doesn't freeze. Sometimes, when I boot up, within a couple minutes the laptop might freeze completely. I can't move the mouse and the keyboard doesn't respond.

If the laptop doesn't freeze within the first couple minutes, then I can continue to run it fine. Just to note: I Windows Messenger Live 8.5 and GTalk are set to run on bootup, and I tend to only run Opera to browse on this thing. And for reference: I never experienced any freezing issues on Vista.

Any thoughts?

MacBook Pro Vs. HP Envy
I already have the envy, you can see my specs. I want to know if it would be worth switching to a MacBook Pro. If I did, I would want windows 7 on it for sure. Is it worth it? I love windows 7, but I also love the compatibility that Apple makes with all its stuff. Apple makes decent hardware, HP...

I know you guys are probably gonna kill me for this, but I'd like to use Mac hardware and put Windows 7 on it. I know this is possible, and was wondering how the hardware specs would work with 7. Also.. do you think that the Graphics Card would be able to handle a 3D game like Batman : Arkham...
