    Admin Privileges in Guest Acct?

I'm sure there must be a simple way to do this, but I don't know how. At the hotel where I work I setup the lobby computer. There is my admin acct and then the hotel guests acct, the latter is a windows "guest" acct. I would like to go into that acct and delete some things, but I can't figure out how to get admin privileges within that acct to do so.

    Thanks.

    hcour,

First, on the admin account, enable (temporarily or otherwise) UAC: User Account Control - UAC - Change Notification Settings

Then go into the limited account and change whatever you would like, with your admin user name and password handy.

    Hope this helps

Ah, hell, I'm an idiot. I forgot, we're running XP on the lobby computer. Thanks anyway.

Most things to delete in xp don't require admin privileges even with limited user accounts. If it is an installed program, using the admin account to uninstall it will uninstall it for all accounts.

    Good luck!

Then look into the free software named Stead State. It is far from perfect and rootkits can still infect the host, but it might still work for you. I liked it when I used in on a public computer.

Here are a few more choices.
