In addition to his suggestions, work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 to establish a Clean Boot, check the logs for errors at the time the problem occurrred, and utilize System Resources to find solutions for problems. Not only will you learn how to troubleshoot your computer, you'll also know you've done everything possible.
If there is a question that the driver may have caused the problem, click on the Device in Device Manager, on the Driver tab, Roll back the driver to see if it helps. If not you can Update it and it will reinstall.
