User Profile Files will not move to D: drive
I attempted to move the user files on a Win 7 Pro computer from C: to D: drive using the properties > location > move. Have done this numerous times on other computers with no problem but this one will not cooperate. On every folder they want moved, I get an error message "Failed to build list of know sub folders. System cannot find the specified file." Data files were no problem to move but the user files will not cooperate.
Found an issue that I think may be related - renaming or moving a folder gives me an error - Could not find item. This is no longer located in C:whatever. Verify items location and try again. Tried the registry fix FolderDescription X64 & X86 but did not resolve the issue.
I suggested a clean install needed but they declined as there are lots of installed programs that they would lose as they did not save any of their execute files or info. Everything works well except for this. Any ideas on what to look at?
