Windows 7: Sound wont work.

I have a Windows XP. My speakers are on, but somehow it wont play any sounds. Only thing I can hear is if I talk into my microphone. I have no idea how this happened, I was listening to a song on youtube and it stopped working. Can anyone help, please?

Have you tried restarting you're computer?

Yes, I have. Still nothing.

Remove the audio plugs and reinsert it a popup window(depends on driver type) will appear and choose the exact speaker type.

try the speakers with another computer if they are external, if they work it may be the drivers. If not the drivers it might be the audio plugin point for you're computer
