I have tried to tun it in safe mode and nothing worked, i tried disabling the start ups services and still nothing. It lets me log into my user account bu the screen is completely black. Did you try tha SFC /SCANNOW:

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Or a STARTUP REPAIR:

Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times
Or even a SYSTEM RESTORE:

System Restore

Why were you replacing the ram? Were you having some problems with the system or was it an attempt to upgrade ram capacity? Was the system stable prior to attempting the ram replacement?

I was having the Black Screen of Death with mouser pointer and realised through Event Viwer (eventvwr.msc) that the explorer.exe crash was associated to the propsys.dll located in windows\system32 folder.

So, I managed to emulate a mini WinXP via Hiren's Boot, loaded a "health" propsys.dll from my other Windows 7 system and overwrote the corrupted one. Problem solved to me!
