Windows froze and restarted with strange resolution issue
I have a Radeon 6800 and everything was fine until my computer froze on day and it restarted with a low resolution.
In the display properties, the resolutions all looked different than before, ie the highest it lets me go up to is 1600x1200 -
Isnt this a 4:3? I have a widescreen monitor and it seems to suddenly only give me 4:3 resolutions...
I also noticed that I think it used to be 'named' in windows but now it is called a 'Generic Non-pnp Monitor'
I have it hooked up with a DVItoVGA converter and then into my I-Inc monitor. It worked fine before the crash, I have tried updating drivers etc and dont know where to go from here.
