iTune Icons taking over

I'm having similar problems as previously described with iTunes replacing all the shortcut icons on the desktop and toolbar. I've read through this and several other forums to discover what permanently fixes the problem. Uninstalling itunes cleared up the computer but after trying numerous fixes listed and running malware programs the problem returns when iTunes is reinstalled. This happened after Itunes was installed for the first time a few days ago. It also has Kaspersky on it which I thought would keep things like this from occurring. I've tried resetting to before the original iTunes install but that did not do anything either. I understand this may be something in the registry or lnk. Unfortunately, I can't find any forum articles online that actually state what worked at the end of the threads. Can I get a little hand, please?

Thanks.
