A Clean Boot is not a Clean Reinstall. There will always be freeloaders starting up with Windows until you turn them off proactively in msconfig locations I outline in the tutorial.

I would include your AV to see if it makes a difference, then reenable it.

I'll try that and post the results here.

Check also if there is a newer BIOS update and what it is for.

    Unplug any floppy drive.

Let me know if you need any help with completing all of the steps given as they could all apply, and regularly do.

I have also had these random freezing issues and have gone through so much is trying to correct this.
New system build a few months old and done everything like change graphic cards from Nvidia to ATI, other new PSUs, Mobo updates, new Different RAM Sticks, new sata cables, drivers of everything updates, diagnostics of everything hardware and software, etc etc.

Nothing really logs when the freeze happens but i have noticed something on one event.

I noticed that in the beginning there were no freezes and after a few flash updates, flash would sometimes crash in any browser 32 or 64 bit.
It would crash the browsers in a way where after a few secs the audio goes away from the video and the browser becomes completely unresponsive with a message in place of the video stating flash has crashed.

Yesterday i as went to move the seek point on a youtube flash video to skip ahead it didn't want to move after i clicked on it and there it goes.
Everything just froze again. Nothing responds and had to do a hard reset.

So here might be a big clue on what is causing these annoying freezes.

Hope we can finally pinpoint this problem.
