Enable RAID?

I was in the BIOS and noticed that there was an option for enabling Intel RAID. What exactly is RAID and what criteria has to be met for me to be able to enable it?

Youd need more than one hard drive for a start (you appear to have just one). So if you want to proceed further with this, just ask.
