Why are you running in Safe Mode?

Explain "this is the info i received", that is, where, what, how.

If I guess correctly at your answer then:
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

when finished upload the sfcdetails.txt file (read the tutorial and that will make sense).

the txt above is from running the SPECCY program the other guy told me to..

as i've said already, i run the scan now already but it cant fix it... ill upload it just now after i follow the above.

its running in safe mode because of the main issue i am having... it wont run in normal mode.

    Chrissy,
    I've reviewed the entire thread.

    I agree with Archie:
Backup everything dear to your heart.
    Perform a fresh install.

the how with your netbook, I do not know. You would need to go to the ASUS site.

While you are perusing the documentation you fetch about your netbook, then see if the amount of ram can be increased. You will never regret the few centavos you spend to increase your memory to the max the netbook permits.

I have an ASUS netbook, HA 1002 XP, which I wiped clean, installed Win 7 Ultimate, increased the ram to 2 GB (max possible) and also swapped out the HDD for a SSD. Performance is usable but nothing to brag about.

Definitely better than the XP that came on the netbook.

I was having the Black Screen of Death with mouser pointer and realised through Event Viwer (eventvwr.msc) that the explorer.exe crash was associated to the propsys.dll located in windows\system32 folder.

So, I managed to emulate a mini WinXP via Hiren's Boot, loaded a "health" propsys.dll from my other Windows 7 system and overwrote the corrupted one. Problem solved to me!
