Challenges getting 2nd Windows 7 HDD to Boot in New Laptop

Decided to installed the HDD with Windows 7 Ultimate from my old laptop into the 2nd drive bay of my new HP Pavillion DV7 Laptop. What should I do to get the 2nd HDD with Windows 7 Ultimate to boot so that I can use programs that aren't on the primary HDD of my new laptop?

If it won't start when set first to Boot in BIOS setup or using the HP ESC Boot Menu key, then you'll need to move it back to the original hardware to SysPrep to move HD to another computer, or boot Paragon Adaptive Restore CD on the new hardware to use it's P2P Adjust feature on the installation, or reimage to the HD with Acronis with Universal Restore.

Easiest is the Paragon disk which was in wide circulation when released a few years back but is hard to find now that it's been merged into their own Backup and Restore software suite.

If you Clean Up Factory Bloatware larded onto most HP's it will make space and better performance for you to install some of those programs you need, and a seondary HD for storage, backup images and file storage, etc. is always a good thing.
