How can i reset the BIOS to default?

I put back the same battery, but the bios has some problem now.

I cannot update window and my browser is also having some issues. I just need to set back to the one that works. How can i do it?

Ops, thought I was in the Windows 8 forum for some reason. I've heard that an incorrect date and time will cause Windows update to fail, so as advised above check it to see if its correct.

Date and time is correct.

So why did you want to reset the BIOS to defaults in the first place?

Could you give more information? Such as, can you get Internet access at all from the PC?

Clearing the CMOS without knowing how your BIOS was set up may not have been a good idea, if you don't know what the proper settings should be. That information has nothing to do with Windows. It isn't usually saved anywhere outside of the CMOS, so there may be no automatic way to recover it.

So, does "everything is well" mean problem solved?
