Folder icon corrupted

My folders on my computer started to look a bit corrupted.

pictures:

Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting
default viewed, list (corrupted)

Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting
viewed as medium (corrupted)

Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting
viewed as large (they go back to normal icon)

Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting
viewed as extra large (they also go back to normal)

Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting
here you can see that only the default icon folder is corrupted but not the others

right click, properties, customize

when I try to change the icon i can see that the default folder icon is missing or replace by this

I can change the icon on the folder to another similiar but i have over houndred folder icons that have corrupted. Help?
