Having a issue with (OPEN WITH) option

Well i dont remeber right clicking my .swf file to have it to open with another file as you can see in the picture note pad ..etc...

How do i revert this back so the .swf file is just plain white file ??

Basically you want .swf files to not have a default associated program, if I understand you correctly.

I don't know the steps, but there should be something on associating file formats / extensions in the Tutorials forum. Try having a look there.

Set it, and see if it is back to normal.

Does they open normally, you just want to change the icon ?

Right click on any swf file, > properties> change icon > Browse > to C:\ Windows\ System32\imageres.dll , and set the third one in the first column.

I guess this is the one you want.

    Hello ohsocute69,

By default, .swf (Shockwave Flash Object) files are not associated to be opened with any program which is why you would have the blank white page icon indicating so. If you like you can use the tutorial below to unassociate .swf files to restore it and the icon back to default. :)

    File Extension Type - Unassociate

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

If you like, download the REG file I attached below to your desktop, double click on the .reg file to merge it, then approve the merge (run, yes, yes, ok). That should restore it for you. :)
