Program icon not showing in top section of startmenu, only bottom

This is a weird one.

I rebuilt my windows 7 PC after upgrading my mobo and adding an I7-3770k. After getting everything the way I wanted it I created an image using Macrium free.

Recently, after installing the June set of M$ patches I started having problems with IE8 becoming unresponsive, so I restored my system from that image.

Since doing the restore, Photoshop and ONLY photoshop will lose it's icon when I pin it to the top section of the start menu. If I then click "remove from this list" it drops it back to the recent programs list and the icon shows properly.

I cleared the recent programs list and reset the start menu to use default settings but neither of these work. I edited the properties and reselected the icon, even tried different icons. This did not work either.

I am positive the icon displayed properly before I took the backup.

Any ideas?

thanks
Tanya

nvm, I have accidentally found the answer...

The icon is stored here...

C:\Users\Tanya\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned.

It had somehow become corrupted.

Manually re-selecting the icon and rebooting resolved the problem.

thanks
