It is most helpful if you describe your predicament as best you can so that others trying to help can more fully understand your situation and propose better options and alternatives.

I didn't notice anything about the inability to burn until post #14, although I may have missed it (which happens all the time in these threads, and by most everyone reading through them). If true that you didn't mention it before, how is someone trying to help you supposed to know?

You are correct - the "can't burn to CD/DVD" was missed because you never mentioned it, not once. If you had, Greg would most certainly have recommended alternate steps that would have solved the issue. Be sure not to leave out critical information.

Please leave the attitude out of your replies - we are all volunteers here that sacrifice our own time to help tens of thousands of users solve many varied and complicated issues, and no one works harder at this than Greg, and his success rate is phenomenal.

    Regards,
    Golden

It's odd that the poster right above you saw me mention it and you never saw it. As far as my attitude is concerned it was very good until I got some thrown my way.
It's also amazing, now that this is marked solved and I'm no longer looking for help there is all this input where as before only 2 people were interested, greg and parrkhi.
I do recall thanking Greg for the time he put in to help me. Or did you not see that as well? As far as you being a Volunteer and helping, lecturing someone on how they should respond on a solved thread is hardly a productive use of your time when like you said there are tens of THOUSANDs of people who are seeking help.

I simply corrected the assumption I was ignoring help I came here looking for. If the person I was talking to has taken it as it is why are you up here copping attitude for him. Please go help someone instead of flaming this thread; since we are making requests.

You may not be correct in assuming that. This thread now has 488 views. Although I never posted until the post you're referring to in that statement, I've been following the thread, as I'm pretty sure others have too. Someone needing help can easily get overwhelmed and confused by so many replies trying to help the OP, so they hold off replying until they feel there may be a truly constructive post that can be made. I've a feeling Golden was following this thread as well.

A couple of more erroneous assumptions.

I'm sure Greg appreciates your thanks (I may be assuming he saw it as I haven't gone back through to see what had been stated and where or by who), but there are even more assumptions in that paragraph.

Seems odd you're posting corrections to other's assumptions, after you seem to have made a few assumptions yourself. Maybe it would be helpful for you to read my original post again. No one here fully understands your situation or the actions you've taken unless you can effectively convey both. Please don't rely on those trying to help by forcing them to make assumptions about your predicament. The resulting outcome may not be what you had hoped.

But I'm glad to hear that your issue is solved.
