    Strange auto deleting of files?

Every time I switch on my computer there are files in my recycle bin. These files have not been deleted by me but are deleted automatically by the computer for some reason. How can I find out where or how these files are being auto deleted?

The only automatic deletion of files, that I am aware of, in Windows 7 is the Disk Cleanup Wizard, but it only deletes temporary files if they are over a week old.
(I don't use it, but I believe that's how it works.)

A possibility for the problem is malware infection. Have you run a scan with Malwarebytes or any of the other malware detection programs?

    They are JPEG.

I'll run a Malwarebytes test now but I haven't had and infection on my computer for years...

    Hi,

Perhaps these JPEG's are related to a website and are being flushed from the system automatically somehow? I'll ask some web guru's to look at this for you.

Thanks but they are not connected to the website that way. They are in storage.

    Hi,

If you temporarily cut & paste them to a different location, then reboot the PC, do they still end up in the Recycle bin?

I'm not surprised by this. Kaspersky is pretty darn good AV software!

@Golden I've since found that it does not happen when I reboot computer it's overnight...
