1st of all; I'm new to the sevenforums so: Hi all!
I hope I can tribute to the forum in the future but came here (as many?) because I have a question of my one..
The thing is; On this very fine day -not-, and in a hurry I accidentally kicked over my 1TB usb hdd. I know.. to stupid; and very angry at myself.
Most of the stuff I already had a backup up on my NAS.. the thing is however.. do I have the important stuff backed up or not ..? The joy of too much data..
Before sending the HDD in for restoring (yes it is physically damaged..) it would be nice if I could have a peek at the root folder listing of the usb hdd before it crashed (or rather I crashed it..grrr) and find out if it is worth restoring or not..
My question; Does Windows 7 also keep a browsing history of local network or hdd's for that matter in eg an index.dat, by which I can see the folder names or even file names? Not as far I could investigate;
Some background info; I run Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Run eset smart security (no scan logs as far I know..); firefox 12.0
If anyone has tips or tricks.. all help is welcome!
