Things don't seem to save upon restart

    Things don't seem to save upon restart


    For some reason when I move the pinned start bar icons around they never stay there... After the restart they always go back to their original position. As well, sometimes (not always) desktop icons go back to their original formation.

    Why is this happening?

    At which level do you have UAC (User account control ) set?

    I have the same problem and I have my UAC set to Default.

    The only problem I have is with my desktop icons. Everytime I restart my computer they get realligned back to the left instead of where I arrange them.

    No, I don't have auto arrange on.

About 1-2 weeks ago i reinstalled windows 7 home on my computer. The computer ran fine until it started getting a blue screen(0x000000a) again. The tempfix it to remove 2 RAM sticks. Also do you know where to check what RAm you need as in MHz not DDR3 or GB Thanks
Every time I get to choose the color settings e.g. contrast, brightness these stuff, it gets back to default settings after I restart my PC! I appreciate your help. :)
