I work for an IT company and have noticed a few of our customers server (TS and SBS) the AV (managed AV/Vipre) is picking up system32\Noise.dat as a corrupt file.
Now i know this is a system file or sorts but thats about it..
I tried copying the file from the sbs onto the tserver on one customers server to see if it fixed the problem. After a quick scan it didn't pick it up. A few days later it has now picked up the new files and the old one (i name noise_backup.dat)
from search i can't find much information except for one website i've never used before saying that it is indeed a threat... i'm skeptical.
Can anyone shed some light onto this for me?
