Windows 7: freeze , crash and lost my partition

Oh tnx....

Same thing happened Today. i lost my harddisk partition again.And when I try to power on it appears only white light on my laptop screen..when i insert windows 7 setup disk its show my full hard disk space is un-allocated..... my harddisk again need to partition and setup windows.....

Hmm, I recognize this.

I have been involved in cases when Windows "somehow" corrupted the system partiton and when installing Windows again, despite formatting from the setup menu, it will with some time keep corrupting the partition, unless you do a low-level-format of the harddrive it self before doing a new installation. That is, using a manufacturer tool to wipe the drive clean.

Since you have not installed windows yourself I can not recommend you to do this, but you could ask the guys at the computer shop if they can get SeaTools and make sure the harddrive is 100% clean before doing next setup, unless you may want to do this yourself.

They may of course tell you that you are questioning their professional knowledge and tell you that "of course we wiped the drive", so be a bit diplomatic when asking. I have been doing stuff like this for 20 years. And so has many others on this forum.

Maybe. If the cause is what I think, and the harddrive was not wiped before, it will at least make sure there is nothing left that can cause errors related to the file system.

Try recovering lost partition with free Partition Wizard bootable CD: Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard Video Help.

Then test your HD using the steps given in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot

Now, while the new computer is 100% functional, I recommend making a System Image backup so that you can always put the computer back into a working condition.

You will need an external USB disk to save the image.

You will need to made a Win 7 System Repair Disc go use to restore or in case of other disasters.
