Hi Brink,
Well, after 2 hours on the phone with an HP tech, whom I allowed access to my PC, it couldn't be done. The Tech actually uninstalled the "disable bat" that I had downloaded, saying it could harm my computer.
What I wanted to do with my pictures is identify people in them, make captions, organize them and make a video with music to share with my family. I was only able to identify people and make captions in Windows Live Photo Gallery. After a day-and-a-half of trying to find out how to "organize" the photos the way I wanted them to be organized (through tutorials, HP and the Forum), I gave up and was tempted to just purchase a program that would do what I need it to do.
So....I was just playing around and I clicked on "Movie" at the top of my Windows Live Photo Gallery page. My pictures transfered to Movie Maker. I read the tutorial for Movie maker and fond out I could move the pictures around to get them "just the way I wanted them".
UREKA! Once I did that, I added music to the movie and shared my movie with my family by uploading it to a link. I also burned a DVD that I could play on my TV.
That's exactly what I wanted to do and I thought I explained that to the HP tech and in my first posts to the Forum. Why didn't anyone catch on to what I needed to know?
The bottom line is...in Windows Live Photo Gallery one CANNOT move photos around (drag and drop), but you can drag and drop them in Windows Movie Maker. I hope this is helpful to some that seem as frunstrated as I was.
Regards,
Lisa
