    VProtector:vprot.exe - Corrupt file

This message keeps coming up on my screen. It is telling me to run the Chkdsk utility. What does this mean?

Can you use the snipping tool to capture a screenshot of that program? Here is a tutorial on how to use the snipping tool if you don't already know how: How to Use the Snipping Tool in Vista - Vista Forums

    Open an Elevated Command Prompt.
Enter chkdsk /r and press Enter. You will see:
    C:\Users\rrkurtz>chkdsk /r
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)
    Enter Y.

Reboot and chkdsk will run. Let it complete undisturbed.
