    Is the SP1 for Windows 7 64 bit worth installing?


    Hello all and sorry for 2 fast questions [here and in another thread],I would just like to ask, if the SP1 of windows 7 is finaly bug free etc... as i remember on the release some months before, many said not to install it as it does more harm than good.Thanks for any help.

    Any bugs in Win7 or SP1 were resolved long ago.

    It is not Win7 if it doesn't have SP1. Like a car which has an overhaul, it becomes the engine itself.

Hi everyone I recently did a factory boot of my system so of course upon the first or second restart I was bombarded with about 140 windows updates! Maybe it's just me and my predisposed distrust for windows update, but my comp seems to be moving slightly slower now, but that isn't the issue...

I installed the SP1 when it was released. I experienced several problems regarding compatibility with programs. As the question states I want to know that should I upgrade to SP1 now that new updates have come? YBL.
Hey I know MS released the RC version of SP1 for Win 7 Download details: Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 Release Candidate (KB976932) Just wondering If it's worth downloading or just waiting for the final version to be released ? I've got all previous updates installed...
