Help in Making Choices - new rig

    Hi Everyone,

I was going to buy a computer from USA, but now I have come across a dilema:

I can either purchase the computer from USA and pay the shipping costs and take the risk of losing the merchandise/taking long time to arrive (Up to 20 days), or buy it locally for a slightly higher price but have a warranty and no fear to lose the merchandise.

The computer from USA has the following specifications:

    Core i7 i920
    6GB DDR3 RAM (1600MHz)
    1TB HD
    1x NVidia 295GTX
    Alienware Chassis
    3DAudio Card
    Price: 2099 (+300 Shipping) = $2399 Dollars.

    The one from Paraguay is:

    Core i7 i920
    12GB RAM DDR3 (1333MHz)
    1.5TB HD
    NVidia 285GTX SLI (2x)
    Asus Vento Chassis
    Price = $2450 Dollars

I would like an opinion from you, to know which would you choose from both. My main doubt is about the 1333Mhz RAM and the SLI 285GTX Vs the 1x 295GTX.

I will be waiting for your opinion !

    Yours

    Alex

The one locally is a better deal because of a few things...

Price...51 dollars difference for twice the RAM (even though the RAM is a bit slower) and two 285GTXs compared to half the RAM and a 295GTX. Two 285GTXs are better than one 295GTX. Also more storage (1TB to 1.5TB)

That shipping is just too much

Lolz, my brother almost had an orgasm saying i told you so! LoLZ.
    "I told u so!! I TOLD U SO HAHAHA i TOLD U SOO.."

But now, seriously, won't the RAM change a lot of things?
    I mean, isn't it a big speed difference from 1333 to 1600?

It's a little speed difference, main thing is that you will have doule amount of memory.

Is the monitor, mouse, and keyboard apart of the price for the US one? If so than that changes everything

If so...the US one is a better deal
