    What is it called?


    The window that pops up when you insert a flash drive or CD?

    Autorun or Autoplay?

    How do I disable it?

    Hello netadict.

    They're both similar in functionality.

    When you insert a Disc or Flash Drive into your system Autorun is executed before Autoplay. Autoplay is just the subset of Autorun that displays the options window that pops up when you insert the flash drive/CD.

    Follow these tutorials to disable them both:-

    AutoPlay - Enable or Disable

    Autorun.inf Files - Completely Block

    A general question: As far as I know pressing the "mark as solved button" blocks the topic and prevents others from posting in that topic, is that "polite" to do?
