Is It Legal To Use Someone RC Download With My Own Key

Do Microsoft mind if I use someones downloaded copy of Windows 7 RC provided that I get my own key code which they are still issuing?

If so I really would like a copy of the latest build of 64bit

No its not illegal to use someone else's copy as long as you have/use your own key.

No, that's 100% fine. It's not as if the downloads were unique in any way.

You might want to be aware that the RC installation begins its 'slow-death'

around March 10 or so, next year....

It should be fine. Microsoft has stopped supplying the downloads, but is still supplying the keys. This says to me it's fine, as long as the version you download is infact the same rc microsoft would give you, and not a modified version that has hacks like "timernuke" installed.

Im Good, almost

I must be dumb as a stump with with a head bump, I was just getting and saving the 64bit key code just in case I get a copy and found that when I got the 32 I went ahead and got the 64 so I am good. . . minus the being a dumb stump thing.

Thanx everyone

You can also use someone elses RC key since there are only about 10 or so different keys for each version (x86 or x64) that were given out to the entire world. So there are many many 1,000's of people using the exact same key you are using.

Btw...there is no x86 or x64 keys they are all the same. Any key for Windows 7 [insert version] will activate the respected x86 version or the x64 version, but not both at the same time.

I knew that is true for the RTM version, but wasn't sure about the RC.
