how to join .__a file

    how to join .__a file


    i got a problem. i tried to played tha .__a file then it was set to default with vlc player and i found out that i should rename the .__a to .001 but i can't change it anymore i tried to download another copy but stil i can"t rename the extension file hope you guys could help me

    Hello and welcome to the forums, andrew113,

    Have you enabled proper viewing of file extensions in Windows 7?

    File Extensions - Hide or Show

    Windows 7 hides the file extensions of your files by default on a fresh installation.

    Have you also checked the file properties for the Read-only tag? Can you manipulate the file completely? (move it to another drive, copy it, delete it etc.)

    If you can't something may be having a lock on it, try using this following program to unlock it:-

    I assume you're using either HJSplit or 7zip to merge those .001 - .00x files together?

    solarmystic, proper viewing of file extension? maybe? i'm not that used to such techy terms, but the other files i've changed them from .002 to .006 the only problem is the first one .__a when i renamed it the extension did't cahnge unlike the other files

    i think its not locked coz i transfered it to my flash drive i so wanna watch the movie

    How big is this file?

    Can you zip it up by using 7zip/Winzip and upload it here so we can have a look at it?
