Acer Aspire 5742Z, Windows 7 64bit home premium advice please!

    Hi

My girlfriends laptop seems to be acting funny lately. I was wondering would someone mind looking at these and tell me if anything looks wrong!

No Ethernat controller and Printer port in Device manager. DVDRW drive wont work when I go into my Computer and right click and press Eject it does open.

    I've service pack 1.

    Laptop spec are

    Acer Aspire 5742Z
    Intel Pentium Processor P6100
    15.6 HD LED LCD
    Intel HD Garphics
    4GB DDR3 Memory
    Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/n

I've attached some files of scans I done with Acer Utility. When I go to Acer website it doesn't recognize most of my drivers

Back up her data then restore to factory new state using the recovery partition. From the ACER Generic UG
    Restore
The restore feature allows you to restore or recover the system from a factor
default image or from previously created CD and DVD backups. You can also
reinstall applications and drivers for your Acer system.
1 Click on Start, All Programs , Acer, Acer eRecovery Management.
2 Switch to the Restore page by clicking Restore.
3 You can choose to restore the system from a factory default image or
    reinstall applications and drivers.
4 Follow the instructions on screen to complete the process.

Are you talking about your computer or your girlfriends computer?

Really best for her to post her own questions so that nothing is lost via the middle-man.

Certainly! Have your girlfriend start a thread stating her problem.

Try again running Acer Factory Recovery, this time from boot. If it fails see if you can generate the Recovery Disks to run them to restore to factory condition. Acer Support: Frequently Asked Questions list for Recovery media and Restoring a system to factory load

If these fail your options are to Troubleshoot Windows 7 , order Recovery disks from Acer, or Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 following the steps in the link to get a perfect reinstall which include everything you need.
