Help is making win7 start with preferred user

I built a new profile and made it an administrator account. Then I deleted the old profile and stored the files on my desktop. Now when I restart windows it keeps wanting to login as the deleted old profile. How do I force windows to start with my new profile ?

The procedure:-

If you've set Windows to login automatically without prompts, try going back to the advanced User accounts panel,
(start|type netplwiz|enter).

Tick users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Highlight the user name of the preferred user account by clicking on it once, and then UNTICK the users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Hit apply then ok, then reboot your computer.

See if that works out for you, I just tried it myself.
