    Handles of taskbar disappear and reappear every few minutes


    Hello all,

    my problem is rather simple. Every few minutes, my computer (Windows 7 64) freezes for a couple of seconds and on the taskbar, the handles (the three parallel dotted lines) disappear and reappear and so does the language selection drop-down menu in the taskbar. I assume it is some process that is restarting but I don't know which one and why. Any help is appreciated!

    Welcome to the Seven Forums.

    You might want to try Process Monitor to see just what going on.

    See this post for some info on filtering on the Explorer.exe:
    Missing start menu icons

    You would not want to limit the returns to those impacting only the registry... you want to see all activity by Explorer.exe.

My desktop icons load perfectly the first time they appear after a system boot. However, as the system continues loading stuff, they dissapear and reappear again unskinned... Is there a fix to this problem? Do I not have enough system resources?:cry: I updated to windows 7 from vista on my old...
