Unable to boot off safe mode and the machine shuts down abruptly.

I own a gateway notebook as my secondary machine but since I sold my workhorse it should be my main machine this week before I buy a couple new macs and transfer this buddy to my mom, as of this morning I tried to wipe off the ATI HD3200 driver and update it as the scaling options were not showing up but after I got the old driver off I tried rebooting the system and started to have problems, now I can only boot in safe mode and it shuts down abruptly after some time (does not come back up if I don't press the power button), I used driver sweeper to get rid of the old driver.

    Help would really be appreciated!

Can you go back using Restore Point before you use Driver Sweeper. I got a feeling that removed needed drivers. You could also go back farther than that.

I did some research and it seems that I used driver sweeper without removing the driver and booting into safe mode before, restoring the system is not an option as I disabled system restore, any ideas on how I can get this back to normal without a clean install ?

Repair Install will do it without a clean install.

Repair install is a very good option as Arc has posted. I would use Restore point it comes in handy many times. I believe restore will be default after repair install but you should check.

At the same time, we will suggest you to not disable system restore.

    Backups are lifesavers, always.

The problem is the system shuts down without notice and stays off after this, I,'m really confused don't know wether I'm windows rusty or something crazy is happening with this system.
