Hello, help with DPI settings please

Hi to all. i am very glad to find you. Ididnt know about your foroum until i needed you, so that makes me want to thank u in advance. i accidently caused a problem to my cousins laptop. the laptop is ACER Aspire 5732Z - 434G50Mn dual core at 2.1 GH. Cousin uses windows 7.
The problem: we needed to install a program for my cousins driving lisene test. A very light and official proggram. The program required from us to low the screen resolution and set the DPI to the option LARGE. We lowered the resolution as needed but we kind of over did it with the DPI. instead of LARGE we set it to 500% (plz don't ask why) which is something like extra extra extra extra large. As a resault of this all we can see now in the screen is the 'my computer' icon decause it is as big as the size of the screen, and the huge mouse pointer. We rised the resolution and things got a little better. we can see 4 icons now. The laptop is running fine if you connect it with a cinema projector but we dont have one . we can not reset DPI because we cant find it! we cant see it on screen because it is ...too big...
i need your help guys. is there a way to restore the previeus settings for the DPI or restore default screen settings somehow ?
Sory for not explaining the DPI but cousin has the greek version of windows 7 an i dont know how to translate it. You should find it easily though with the 'search'
    Thanks again
You do a great job helping a lot of people get along with those little devils, computers i mean

Try booting into safe mode (F8). Failing that does he have a backup to restore from? If not does he have the win 7 dvd to do a repair install?

Hello johnkerasi, welcome to Seven Forums!

As ken has said if you can get to safe mode see if you can do a system restore to a point in time before you made the DPI changes; have a look at the 2 tutorials at the links below; be sure to post back to let us know how it sorts out.

    Safe Mode
