Slow startup, no icons at first, only taskbar and wallpaper

So I just bought new parts for my PC (i7 3770 and 8gb of ram), and everything was running fine at first, but now my pc starts up pretty slow. The desktop comes up but the only thing I see is the wallpaper and the taskbar. The icons come like a minute later coupled with the windows startup sound. I don't have much startup programs as this is a pretty new install.

[FONT=&quot]In reponse to your recent query try the following steps .First Please unplug all the external devices connected to your computer & try restarting, in order to isolate & eliminate the issue as you mentioned you already cleared start ups..You can try connecting the external devices like printer external harddrive flash drive etc one after the other just in case if you have more than one external devices connected reason being computer takes time to detect external devices at times.If this still doesn’t help try creating a new user account then restart the computer and check whether it helps [/FONT]

Please fill in your ((My System Specs)) completely. We need this information to help you. Look at mine in lower left of my post. It will give you a idea of what is needed.
From comd prompt/admin run sfc /scannow 3 times with a boot after each. This is Windows 7 way of checking it own system files and correcting them if possible. It can't hurt but might help.
