That looks pretty corrupted. Try this: Right click on Favorites and see whether "Restore Favorites Link" does anything.

Go to C:\ > Users > Your Name > Downloads. That is where the real folder is - (in your picture you only have a shortcut).

Right click on the folder > Properties > General tab. Does this look like in my Picture?

Yeah it does, but it's a new downloads fold. I first noticed all this when i tried to play some music on itunes, and yeah it can't play anything that was in the original downloads folder. So does this mean that it's all gone forever, or is there some way of getting it back?

As whs mentions, things do seem a little corrupt.

Can you revert the system to a prior restore point (before the issue appeared)?

Unknown folder has appeared in my 'My Downloads' folder.
A folder named'-Unsafe-' has appeared in my downloads folder. The obvious thing to do, I suppose, would be to open it to see what is in it, however the clue to NOT doing this is in the folder name!! Has anyone any experience if this??

My Downloads folder
Hi, My downloads folder is on my desktop AND in my documents. If I delete it on the desktop, the one in the documents also disappears. What the hell is going on? Doesn't it slow the computer if such a large file is on the desktop? How do I get rid of it from the desktop?
